Windows Server 2008 R2 & Exchange 2007
Hello,
We're looking to move our exchange environment to MS Exchange 2007 on Server 2008 R2. We currently run Networker (Oracle/Sun OEM) 7.5.2 on Solaris.
I've been looking through the NME docs and the software compatibility matrix and it doesn't look like R2 is supported with NME as yet. From a lot of comments on other posts and fora I understood R2 to be supported from NW 7.5.2 but this so far only seems to be at OS only.
Can anyone confirm or deny this is correct? If so does anyone know if or when this will be supported and on which netwoker/exchange versions?
Many thanks,
Gerry

Hello gerrymcf,
In regards to the abovementioned question, the short answer is Exchange 2007 on W2K8 R2 is not currently supported by NME.
However this is as a result that W2K8 R2 does not suport Exchange 2007.
As per Microsoft's announcement found here > http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2008/en/us/supported-applications.aspx Exchange 2007 SP3 would be supported on W2K8 R2 by H2 2010.
Exchange 2007 SP3 was released by Microsoft on June 22, 2010, and as a result we are currently in the process of qualifying NME on Exchange 2007 SP3.
The projected date for completion is August 22, 2010, therefore we expect NME supportability for Exchange 2007 SP3 shortly thereafter.
This will result in the supportability of NME for Exchange 2008 SP3 on W2K8 R2
Hope this helps.
Thanks.
John

Thanks for those replies.
I've been given another doc that shows that Exchange 2007 SP3 is now supported by MS on 2K8 R2, I suppose we're now waiting on EMC supporting this config with NME. It is SP3 that we would be using for our setup.

Thanks again for your help.
