There was a document available on backing up Exchange 2010 detailing how you would backup Exchange 2010 until this is supported the Networker Module for Microsoft which I believe was due to be the end of 2010 so should be imminent (support is indicated on the Software Compatibility Guide but I believe this is currently incorrect).  Hopefully one of the EMC guys will be able to confirm when the NMM will support Exchange 2010.

Hello,

To backup Exchange 2010 you will need to install 7.5.x, for Windows 2008, and for Windows 2008 R2 you will need at least 7.5.2, as previoius versions of Networker don't support Windows 2008 R2.

7.4.x is no longer supported since September 2010, unless you have extended support, so in this case I would suggest you to install 7.5.4 to use nsr_exchange2010 binary.

So far the binaruy nsr_exchange2010 is the only tool which supports Exchange 2010, no need to install NME (Networker Module for Exchange, only Networker client and the binary nsr_exchange2010).

Next releasy of NMM (NMM 2.3) will support both, Windows 2008 R2 and Exchange 2010. Estimation of the release of NMM 2.3 is late Q1 2011, however hit is not official yet.

Please see attached documentation of nsr_exchange2010, where you can also find the link to download the binary.

Please let me know if you need any further informaiton.

Thank you very much.

Best regards,

Carlos.
