I'm not sure if admins are moving this around or not (I'm just plain user). To get answer from someone you may wish to open a same topic at right place now and in this one leave a note to close it or delete it.

Can you tell us what version of NetWorker server and NetWorker client on Sybase box you are running?

LGTpa67153 is RFE - not a fix. The details of support for ASE 12.5.3 do say that OCS 12.5 is required. (not sure if this is related to your problem).

Just to clear something: "but backup file is success whith dedicated storagenode.". Does this mean:
a) file system backup is ok or
b) ASE backup is ok if running to dedicated SN?

I assume first.

Also, what do you mean by "i find another problem, the net interface can't allowe packet over 8000bytes". The packet site should not be a problem for NetWorker all along while it is not a problem of OS - if simple ftp/scp runs correctly backup should do as well.

thanks!

a) file system backup with dedicated storagenode is ok
b) ASE backup failed with internal library error.

legato only support OCS12.5.0 is ensured.
the problem of packet size limited is unimportance,i wanna someone has found this.if the packet size limited low,the backup opertion cross lan will be timeout and failed.true or false?

give me more help,i can't submit case at the new support plane becauser my contacts is not authorized by my company, but my company have not a administrator?how can i do ?thanks

I don't think so. And you have the proof of that as well. You see, the size of the packet can be manipulated at OS level. If that would be a problem then your file system backup would have a problem as well - and that is not the case. Packet size will have its impact to performance, but I don't think it can result in timeouts (at least I'm not aware of that). (of course, having balanced TCP/IP settings across the whole network is recommended, but sometimes not possible).

If your contact is not authorized then how come you have login here? I thought only authorized users have that. If your company has valid contract then you must have someone (at least one person) who is allowed to open a calls. If you are not that user than simply give description of the problem to the user who is allowed to open a support call. If none of that is possible - you will probably have to rely on the 3rd party support companies who have advanced/premium contracts (even this is no longer called that way) with Legato/EMC.

Was there ever a resolution to this? We're having the same problem sporadically.

Thanks,
