cannot dismiss events in nmc 7.6.1

Question

We have recently started using networker 7.6.1. Now I cannot dismiss events form the main screen in nmc. I have tried:

1> stop networker

2> rename jobsdb under res and tmp under nsr folder

3> start services.

But still no result. Have also tried it with the default administrator user.

Anybody any idea?

What type of events are you trying to dismiss? Are you not able to dismiss all events or only some events?

What is the OS of the NMC console server? What other applications are installed on the NMC server, if any?

Set the debugging on gstd (go for level 9), and try to dismiss an event again. Disable gstd debugging, and then review the gstd.raw for additional errors.

Hi Frank,     Did you try clearing the java cache? If not clear the java cache and restart the GST service. Regards, Arun

You can re-install java again but you don't use with Java v6 update 22. It not work with this version.

Java JRE 1.6.0_22 does work with NW 7.6.1.

i just started gstd with the -D9 flag and only saw 1 event in the list which I cleared. I then started the gstd from windows services again and found all events are gone now. Thank you for the tip, I'm not sure why they all are gone now but as I don't have the time to pursue this further I'm happy with your input.
