client index backup waiting to run

Hi all

W2K3 nw 7.3.3, 60 clients

One of my save groups ran as usual last night, all files saved to tape but the client index has not saved. the status is "contacting client"
I've checked services, connectivity etc between client and server and all seems to be ok.

Incidentally the existing index size for the client in question has reached 99Gb in size.
I've tried to reduce this size by removing some of the oldest cycles, there is plenty of disk space on server and client.
browse /retention policies were set to 1 Year

I need help to get this job running again.

This is the second day of failover for that client
I had to cancel the job at about 2:00 pm yesterday, so this is the second time this savegroup is running

I'll try what you suggest

Have you tried to restart the job or ran savegrp -O for that client?

I'm not aware there is an size limit for index, but if you remove (lower) existing browse which should not be there you should gain some space. After that run nsrim and nsrck check for that client (it will take some time).
