getting the error Failed to connect to port 10000, data connect: failed to establish connection
Hi All,
We have a number of FS from DM configured in networker for NDMP backups, some of them work just fine and some are failing with below error.
The ones which work fine are also configured on the same VIrtual DM as the ones which are failing.
42597:nsrndmp_save: data connect: failed to establish connection
42886:nsrndmp_save: Unable to start the NDMP backup process.
42751:nsrndmp_save: Tape server halted: The backup is aborted by operator.
42913:nsrndmp_save: Save session closed with NW server
42886:nsrndmp_save: Unable to start the NDMP backup process.

42571:nsrndmp_save: Failed to connect to port 10000 at host 'Itnasa4_s2' :Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted.

Any advise on this would be highly appreciated.

You need to ensure that port 10000 is open both ways, and also please check the following posts:
