host entry mapping error

hi Experts ..!   Kindly help us to understand this error Error: savefs: Failed to resolve hostname neslr10nmon01 to an internet address. Please verify a mapping for neslr10nmon01 exists in the /etc/hosts file or DNS.

The message clearly points out that there exists a hostname resolution issue.

Either your DNS entries cannot resolve the shortname and/or the FQDN. Please correct your DNS or add an appropriate entry into your hosts table.

Make sure that both ways (shortname & FQDN) will resolve to the same IP and that this is pingable.
