if I make changes to my virtual device how does NW know

First off a big THANK YOU to all who've helped with me and my miSAN (sounds like a song). It works now!. Now to break it again LOL. If i want to make a change on my jukebox (still called that even though it's a big RAID5 virtual tape disk) like adding or removing a 'slot' how do I get networker to recognize my change. Does it happen on a reboot?

NW knows about slots when you reconfigure jukebox. I don't know a way to update Pjhysical Slots field while jukebox is allready configured.

Adding new device could be done using jb commands.

This is more what I mean. Does the jukeboxes in NW ALWAYS see 10 slots?? I can have one to 30 on my miSAN depending on how big I want each 'tape'. How does NW handle a jukebox with more than 10 slots. is it still something that has to be done through jbconfig? Thanks

NW handles everything :) As long as you have it licensed.

What model of miSAN are you running. We have a miSAN up and running now. Its a miSAN V with the CY-TLL-224 LTO Ultrium 3 Tape Library. Using win2003 SP2 Legato Ver 7.3.3
