jbedit cannot add a tape device

Hi, We have an IBM library connected to a NW server with many drives (not shared). Some of them are connected to a storage node. When we try with Scan for devices on NMC, we have nothing (takes a long time, due a lot of disks LUNs and a high use of that SN). When we try to add drives thru jbedit command, an error appears: cannot find device xxxxx in unconfig device name resource. How can we add these drives (4 LTO4) to our library? INQUIRE is a local command - it just reports what can be found locally on the storage node.

If the device does not appear, the correct driver is missing. However this is mandatory as NW does not install it - it relys on what the OS sees.

Try running 'dvdetect -s ' on storage node. This will populate the device under storage node in NMC. Then you will be able to configure the device easily.
