non-authoritive restore on Windows 2008 Domain Controller fails

Question

Hello, I try to restore Windows 2008 Domain Controller. I want to make a non-authoritive restore. The steps are as follows: 1. Create backup to Networker Server 7.5 SP1, from Windows 2008 Ent Domain Controller. Save set includes C:\, VSS System Boot, VSS System Fileset, VSS System Services, VSS Other and VSS User Data. 2. Shutdown the Domain Controller 3. Install new Windows 2008 Ent server, give same IP and name, leave to Workgroup. Install Networker client 4. Restore VSS System Boot, VSS System Fileset and VSS System Services from previously made backup 5. Restores VSS System Fileset with no errors, but during VSS System Boot the following error appears and job fails: Recovering Writer: FRS Writer. Failed to load required ntfrsapi dll or to find a required procedure. 16294:recover: Encountered an error recovering C:\Windows\Temp\FRS Writer.216144287.xml Fatal Error: Recovery operation failed. 53363:recover: Recover of rsid 18202 failed: Error receiving files from NSR server `NW2' No such file or directory Can anybody point out what am I doing wrong? Well, I can only kind of translate what happens, but I have no clue either why. At certain point FSR writer is caller which uses ntfrsapi.dll (ntfrsapi.dll is a File Replication Service API DL). I guess first thing to check is if you have that dll on the system. If not, it might indicate that prior to DR you must install application which did bring that dll with it (or have service started that is using it). I'm not sure if old trick from 2003 applies to 2008, but perhaps re-registering dll could help.
