nsrexec: system error: The network path was not found

Hi all,

I have tried running a recovery from the networker user GUI on the backup server and get the following: "nsrexec: system error: The network path was not found"
the recovery is to a client server on the same domain and the tape drive shows data backed up.
I have tried to recover the same files from the client server networker user GUI and it does recover the files.
Why can't I do the recovery from the backup server?
I also have the same issue recovering to a client server which is not on the same domain.
if there is a fix for this, will it work for both cases, servers in the same domain and servers on different domains?
Txs in advance for your help.

It could be that name used for communication is not right or misses some alias you would usually have for that name. Make sure client alias field contains hostname and FQDN and test network path between them for RPC communication then (for both hostname and FQDN).

The error you see is Windows OS returned error and only parsed by NW when trying to contact client. Perhaps you could also check there is no firewall blocking this communication.

Try winworkr -s {backupserver}.

{backupserver} use the hostname/fqdn with which you configured the backup server.
