nsrjb: cannot connect to nsr service

Hi everyone,

I am using this ancient Legato networker version 6.1 on 2 Unix server clustered.

When I run nsrjb -I on the one of the clustered server I get this error.

nsrjb: cannot connect to nsr service on servername
nsrjb: RPC error: Program not registered

The program is working fine on the other server.  Does anyone know how to resolve this?

Thanks in advance.

From memory you go to the Media menu, click Devices, find the device you want, click Edit then change the Enabled field to yes.

You have cluster two node and nsrjb gives error on one server.

I think you have active -passive cluster and when you run nsrjb on active node it will work.

If you run the same command on passive node it will give you error.

We should run  program on active cluster node  and if this is working then there is no issue .

You might want to think about upgrading sometime, or do you have a particular attachment to that version because you saw it being used in The Flintstones?
