'Not in Media Index'

Question

Hi All,

I'm still having problems identified media index.
I am on 7.3.1 and I was able to create pools. And inventory and labeled 1 tape in slot 1 for Monday but the slot 2-7 got labels but unable to pick the pool and has "not in media index" when I try to inventory and label individually.

How to get the tape to change the pool and release the error not in media index?

If volume is not in the media db there is big chance that you didn't label that volume. Did you label those volumes in slots 2-7?

For 7.3 ther 'deposit' is that same word as Load?

Yes I labeled then but it was missing the correct pools that it be in.
So I am attempting to relabel with correct pools.
Do i make changes in the "level" when I do the labeling?
I noticed for the volume svr.002 pool tuesday I canged the level around and now I was able to dedicate to pool Tuesday for volume svr.002.

For 7.3 ther 'deposit' is that same word as Load? No. Given the size of your autochanger I doubt you have I/E caps so deposit/withdraw is not what you are after.

!? When you label a volume you label a volume to a pool. You can't miss that. You can only relabel it to a wong pool.

No. You can define level as pool property if you want, but my impression is that your pools are going against groups and clients in group (or even group itself) have schedule which is based on day of the week (so level would be irelevant here).

Not sure what you mean by that.
