recover command

Hi, Environment NetWorker Server 7.4.2 - Backup server: Windows 2003 SP1 - Clients: 2 Windows and 2 linux I have a problem with a customer because he has a dataprotector backup system, he wants to have the same funtionality to recover the data. The funtionality is: in the backup server execute the recover process of different paths (save set) of one client into another client but he wants to relocate every path in different folder every save set. Dataprotector can execute these recover process in parallel from its GUI For example clientA clientB C:\backup\hello\hello1\file.txt D:\restore\bye2 C:\backup\say\ F:\mute1 clientC clientD /oracle/data /oraclebck/databck /binaries/ /oraclebck/databck/bin NetWorker cannt do it, networker execute one recover process by one. The customer accept command line procedure to recover the data, but he tell us the script must run in the server and it must recover in parallelism all the recover process. I have been doing a lot test with the 'recover' command but I havent been able to restore data into the different clients. Do you have a command line example? is it possible to do? can NetWorker do it? Regards Edgar

You simply start multiple recover command, each for one saveset and each with different target destination. You have examples in recover manual so you really can't do anything wrong.

To me that sounds as multiple recover commands. The only problem that I see is that multiple reads from same media are not supported yet....

You can use it - see in manual for recover command what -d does.

Networker do support this...for e.g. try recover -iN -c client-A -R Client-Band use relocate command to specify destination path @ Client-B.
