using jbedit

Hi,

In my setup, I have shared my s24 library and map it to the other storage nodes. I had configure it through jbconfig. I just want to add one more server to that and I used jbedit command . but it gives some error for that which is as below-

C:\>jbedit -a -f INDELHMEYIN22.mea.ey.net:\\.\Tape0 -E 256 -v -s indelhmeysql04.
mea.ey.net -j adic@3.2.1
setting verbosity level to `1'
jbedit: Changing device name from INDELHMEYIN22.mea.ey.net:\\.\Tape0 to rd=INDELHMEYIN22.mea.ey.net:\\.\Tape0.
jbedit: RAP error: Could not find any storage nodes in the RAP database!

Pls. help me out..

From what host are you running jbedit. Do you have permissions for that user at that host?

I have run the command from Networker server i.e. indelhmeysql04 and the new server on which i want to map library is indelhmeyin24.

1
setting verbosity level to `1'
jbedit: RAP error: Cannot find device `INDELHMEYIN24.mea.ey.net' in 'unconfig de
vice names' resource.

What is INDELHMEYIN24.mea.ey.net? Why IP for server?

Indelhmeyin24 and INDELHMEYIN22 are the two server which I want to attached with the library . and the IP address is of my networker server that I tried by name and by IP to attached the servers by it.

-f should be device name, eg: jbedit -s server -j jbname -a -f sn:/dev/rmt/0cbn -E 256

Command is always the same - it is only device path that is different. And if you use DDS I think you need -i too then - check manual.

When using NW73+ jbedit checks the new resource NSR storage node. If the drive to be configured is not there as an unconfigured device it will not work.
Please go to devices-storage nodes, there right-click on the newly created storagenode and select scan for devices.
In the logging page you shoud now see the new tape unit appear.

Please use
jbedit -af -E -j jukebox
to add the new drive.
