I would suggest when you get that to check the status of the volume (perhaps for some 3rd reason it has been marked full) and also check space on the file system itself (E:\legato).
Your issue reminded me of one incident once where user had the same problem; device was being reported full even its usage was perhaps 65% and it happened during weekend backups. Investigation showed that sysadmin thought there would be enough space always in that area and did put some porn and mp3 files until Monday Moral of the story is to always check in what state your disk really is.
This is baring on my other question: when I go to the legato folder on my main server nexsan:\ is shows 689G used!!!!! it's all under the legato folder. Under the leagto folder it has a folder called _AF_readonly and then a bunch of subfolders starting at 01, 02, 03, etc... What can I delete out of this folder. Any of the subdirectories mentioned above?
Hey guys. Number one: is there anything in the NSR folder on my secondary backupserver I can not remove? Second: If it was staging from my secondary file system (backupserver2) how does backupserver affect that?
You don't delete anything from there (unless instructed to do so by support - and that can only happen if data has been staged already and confirmed that you have "ghost data" on disk).

remove?
You mean storage node? You should not remove anything to do with configuration of course.
file system (backupserver2) how does backupserver
affect that?
It does not except that information from storage node will be passed to backup server.
