10G Lag on 5500 switch showing 1000M Current speed

I have a 5548 stack of 2 connected to a 8024F stack of two thru the 10G ports (LAGed connection of 2 10G ports).  The 8024 show a 10G full connection.  The 5548 however is showing unknown for the port speed on the port setting  of the two port and on the LAG settings screen it shows the following:

Admin speed 10G (grayed out not modifiable)

Current speed 1000M

Admin Auto Negotiate Enabled

Current Auto Negotiate Disable

Admin Advertisement:  Max Capacity is checked, but the other options only include 10F, 100F, and 1000F (There is no 10000F option as there is on the 8024)

So it appears that I have a 10G link speed for admin, but only 1G actual connection over these 2 10G ports.  Is that what is happening?  Is it really not possible to create a 10G LAG using these 2 10G ports for a total 20G throughput?  I can't find anything in any doc to indicate one way or the other?  The lack of a 10000F advertisement option would indicate that it is not possible.

I did find the following notation in the doc that I originally figured was a typo since there was no explanation of the inconsistency of the setting:

Admin Speed. The possible options are:

10M — The LAG is currently operating at 10 Mbps.

100M — The LAG is currently operating at 100 Mbps.

1000M — The LAG is currently operating at 1000 Mbps.

10000 Full— The LAG is currently operating at 1000 Mbps.

If this is not a typo then there should be an explanitory comment stating that 10G lags are not supported.

I'm looking into what options there are in order to get the switch set up properly.

Have you tried configuring the switch thru Command Line at all?

55xx(config)# inter port-channel 1

55xx(config-if)# speed 10000

I see that the above commands are available on the switch from our lab.

Do you have the latest firmware installed on the 5548?  Here is a link to the current version v4.1.0.8, A06 released in November of 2012.

I hope this helps,
