2 PowerConnect 5424 switches CPU @ 100% permanently
Hi,
I have 2 PowerConnect 5424's connected to each other, one has 2 fibre links to our ISP and the other has our firewalls connected to it. Both of these switches recently started running with a CPU utilization of 100% and only go down briefly after downing/upping their link to each other. I have tried enabling flow-control and back-pressure with no change. I have also looked at the RMON stats and there's nothing to indicate a problem. They are both running firmware:

We are considering upgrading to the latest firmware but I was hoping someone may have other troubleshooting steps so we could at least see where the problem lies (e.g. DoS using masses of connections/packets?).
