Authentication error while adding a Cisco switch in Openmanage Network Manager
I am trying to get a Cisco Switch in the Dell Openmanage network manager.
I am able to telnet the switch, and login is also no problem.
I set up the authencation the same way as putty: ip, telnet poort 23, and username en password.
But always the same problem.....
Authentication error.
What's going wrong ?

Does the switch have an enable password? If it does we need to try placing that password in OMNM also.

Good point Barrett, i did not even think of that.
"For installations requiring management of more than 2000 devices or of non-Dell network devices, upgrades to Dorado Software’s Redcell product suite are available. Contact your Dell sales representative for details."

OMNM is licensed for Dell devices only. To manage both Dell and non-Dell devices, it is recommended to use Redcell which can be purchased through any Dell sales representative.
See the bottom of the page at www.dell.com/networkmanager
