Bonding without packet reordering
Hello,
We have power edge server 740xd and Dell switches with OS 9. The OS of the Server is ubuntu 18.04. We just have configured two 25g ports of the same nic as bond. We get the whole time a packet reordering warning. The dell server has also one CPU with one Socket and 16 cores. Did anybody have had the same problem?

Hi Skash01,
Which switches are you using? Are both ports connected to 25Gbps switch ports? Are you seeing any packet loss?

Yeah the are connected to 25g ports on both the server and the switch side. Yeah there is packet loss
The switch are power switch s5224f-on

What happens if the ports are not bonded? Do you still have packet loss? The packet reordering error is because of the packet loss, so if we can figure out why the packet loss is occurring we should be able to resolve it. Which switch are you using?
