Hello @Tkpoh,

What OS are you using? And which switch are we talking about? You can check here this document for OS10: https://dell.to/2Te1n3K

The command "Boot System Standby" is used to change the next boot partition to the Standby but when the goal is using OS10EE commands to upgrade from one OS10EE version to another.

Regards.

Current active partition is OS10 enterprise 10.5.1

And the standby partition is on firmware 10.4.2.

Can i check whether can reload the switch and change to the partition with 10.4.2 to be the active partition?

And when we do configuration on the switch, does it get stored onto both partition? When upgrading, it was the standby partition that was upgraded and then reload and become the active one. But i can't recall as i believed i configured something while in 10.4.2 which i'm seeing missing in the show running-config.

Hi, would this help?

  1. Change the next boot partition to the standby partition in EXEC mode.

 OS10#boot system standby

  1.   Check whether the next boot partition has changed to standby in EXEC mode.

OS10#show boot detail

  1. Reload the new software image in EXEC mode.

OS10#reload

  1.   After the reload, verify the Firmware is updated:

OS10# show version

Issuing the command "Boot System Standby", will give a message:

{ Not Supported. Use 'system "sudo os10-rollback-to-old-image" ' to rollback. }
