CRC and Runts

I want to know the Runts and CRC values. Is the Runts value related to the MTU ?.  I discovered discarded packages a lot. So does it affect the device?

example:

TenGigabitEthernet 1/49/1 is up, line protocol is up
Port is part of Port-channel 70
Description: uplinkMTU 1554 bytes, IP MTU 1500 bytes
LineSpeed 10000 Mbit
Flowcontrol rx off tx offQueueing strategy: fifo
Input Statistics:
1614588728382 packets, 1219640839595305 bytes
125151884979 64-byte pkts, 428660519335 over 64-byte pkts, 196349409443 over 127-byte pkts
90582588192 over 255-byte pkts, 64050281076 over 511-byte pkts, 709794045354 over 1023-byte pkts
3572918045 Multicasts, 4541997272 Broadcasts, 1606473812946 Unicasts
1 runts, 0 giants, 0 throttles
119 CRC, 0 overrun, 2843467423 discarded

Thanks

Hello,

Runts could be coming from any number of things including MTU, but also things like a bad cable or a misconfigured half-duplex on another device. If you were seeing thousands of them, it could be worth investigating, but not with just 1.
