Cannot set switchport mode or native vlan for port in Force10 switch
When I try to configure a Gigabit Ethernet port on a Force10 switch, it won't let me run the command "switchport mode access" claiming invalid input. When I check the options under "switchport mode", the only option is "private-vlan"

All good now, this was part of a larger problem that has now been resolved. I may not know why it doesn't let me set the switchport mode or the native VLAN but I don't need anymore troubleshooting on this.

Hi,
Which model switch is it? What OS version are you using? Which port are you trying to configure?

It sounds like the port may be in layer 3 mode and not layer 2 mode.
