Console (serial) port on Powerconnect 6248
Hi All,
I have two powerconnect 6248s. The first I've had for several months. The second I just ordered recently.
I'm unable to console in to the second switch. I'm using the same settings (minicom) and cable that I use regularly to connect to the first switch.
Any thoughts on how to resolve this? I cannot see any boot dialogue after resetting switch 2.

Thanks for the reply. I can confirm those settings for minicom.
Both switches are on the same rack, and I can plug the serial cable into s1 and everything works, and then change it to s2 and have it not work... same settings, same client, same cable, etc... direct from one switch to the other.
I just racked the second switch today, and have never successfully logged in.

That's kind of what it's looking like. I'll have to check on the warranty... fingers crossed.
One quick question. Is there a way to do a factory reset without logging in. I tried the reset button. Wanted to double-check this before I mailed it back. I did buy it refurb.
