I had unathorized users set to Enabled on the Vlan Membership page. I don't completely understand it, but changing it to Disabled allowed me to untag VLAN2. But, I am still having traffic problems.
I have a firewall which runs DHCP on port 3 (untagged) which is connected to port 11 on this switch. Port 11 has a PVID of 2 and VLAN membership of 2 (untagged). These should talk and I assume in the switch put the traffic on VLAN2. Then I have a few ports running VLAN1 and VLAN2 (tagged) to access points which run multiple SSID's one on VLAN1 and one on VLAN2. When the client connects, it jumps on VLAN2 and even gets an IP which is registered in the firewalls DHCP and shows up on the clients. But after getting the IP, all traffic is blocked. I can't ping the firewall, can't access the internet... I am just shut out.
This problem is obviously more complex than just the PowerConnect, but that is the only part that has changed since it stopped working. I am hoping someone here can give me an idea how I could troubleshoot or what could be set incorrectly which would allow a DHCP to start, but then cut it off.

If you want the native VLAN or Un-tagged to be VLAN 2, you must define the PVID like you stated.
What do you mean when you say "it drops even the ability to use VLAN1"?
I would recommend leaving VLAN 1 as your management VLAN.

I would start by making sure you have the current firmware installed, version 1.0.0.44 released 3/21/12.

Do you have ingress filtering enabled or disabled. You might try changing that option to see what response you get.
Also have you tried leaving the PVID as 1, and then set VLAN 2 to U. Instead of setting PVID to 2 and then trying to set to U
Hope this helps,
Keep us updated if you can.

Thanks again!
