Dell PowerConnect 2824 Web Interface Access

I am trying to access the web interface via a browser but am not having any luck.

I was able to successfully set the following commands:

enable
configure
interface vlan 1
ip address 192.168.2.2
ip default-gateway 192.168.2.1
snmp-server community private rw
exit

The issue is that when I go into the browser it won't reach the ip 192.168.2.1

I read in the instructions that I need to change my static IP to match the one above, but I am not sure how to do this correctly.

I am trying to do this with a machine that is currently on my work domain so the IP is different than the one above. Can anyone walk me through how to change the IP? I've tried to change the adapter's IPv4's settings but that doesn't seem to be doing the trick.

Hi,

Is your computer on the same subnet as the switch?

Josh,

I don't believe it is, but am not necessarily sure how to check.

Josh,
I was able to get this to work by unplugging everything and only connecting the switch to the machine, resetting everything and restarting the computer.

The Subnet of the computer eventually ended up being the same and I was good to go.

Thanks for the help.
