Dell PowerConnect 6224 issue in boot process
Hi,
I have a problem during boot process of 6224 switch. It started one morning (obviously during the night). When I came, all leds that indicate lan connections were red). I tried to reboot the switch but it was the same. Then I tried to reset the switch on RESET button on the front side. After that, during the boot process DIAG led was blinking (which means that switch is in diagnostic process) so I waited. But, it took too long so I tried to change switch software.
I tried to download newest driver from dell support site but it didn't work (couldn't find image). Then I put image from another switch (the same 6224 as this one which has a problem). And now, I have the same problem as it was in the begining:
The switch is connected through serial cable and I can access all Boot features. Already cleared the flash couple of times and so on...
Now, after
Uncompresing...

on my terminal I get this:
program
Exception current instruction address: 0x163bb50
Machine Status Register: 0x00029200
Condition Register: 0x20000442
Exception Syndrome Register: 0x08000000
Task: 0xffffdf0 "tRootTask"
I have to check if switch is still under warranty.... I think not..
Anyone had similar problem???

It appears the hardware is bad. Replace the switch.
