Downgrade from OS10 to OS9 on a PowerSwitch S5248F-ON

Hi

I have acquired 2 PowerSwitch S5248F to implement stack But they come with the OS10,  I understand this version does not support Stacking. Is it possible to downgrade the OS10 to the OS9 version? And if possible, is there an official Dell guide to do so?

Thanks

Martin

I'm fairly certain that is a OS10 only switch.  Is there something you need with stacking that VLT will not work for?

Hello,

I have a similar question regarding OS downgrade but for S4048 systems.

I have two S4048 systems running old versions of dell networking versions 9.10.0.1 and 9.9.0.0 in my environment. I know these systems need an upgrade to the latest version but is it possible to downgrade from version 9.10.0.1 to version 9.9.0.0?

Thank you!

Hi @jessieobioma,

I spoke to a co-worker of mine from networking, he mentioned that if the switch has ONIE installed: https://dell.to/3Jvr98i before OS9 was installed, you can uninstall the version that you're on and install 9.9, as if it's just a downgrade. But that is after you have done your config backup. If ONIE is not installed, there is no way to downgrade 9.10 to 9.9.
