FN410S password reset

I've acquired a pair of FN410S I/O modules, running 9.11.x, and unfortunately, they still have an old config in them, and of course, I don't have the password. I've been searching around, and EVERYTHING I can find says to power cycle the switch, and immediately hit either any key or esc, depending on the article (Any key or Esc is the only deviation I've found), and from there, it's supposed to put the switch in U-Boot mode, with a '=>' prompt. Well, nothing I have done will get me to a '=>' prompt. Upon boot, I see the 'Hit Esc key to interrupt autoboot' and hit 'Esc' - but this doesn't bring me to a '=>' prompt. It brings me to a 'BLADEIOM-STOMP-XLOADER#' prompt. I can delay and wait for the second 'Hit Esc key to interrupt autoboot' prompt, which if I do that, drops me into 'BOOT_USER #'. None of the commands for moving on with clearing a forgotten password work with either of these prompts. Spamming 'any key' on boot just results in the switch booting.

Does anyone know how can I either clear the password so I can boot it and then get into it to clear the config, or clear the config right from the start, since what's out there doesn't seem to work?

So I figured it out, in case anyone else ends up looking for how to do it.

All of the documentation I found is wrong, near as I can tell.

In order to get past the password, you power cycle the switch, and on the SECOND 'Hit Esc key to interrupt autoboot', you press escape, which drops you to 'BOOT_USER #'. You then enter 'ignore startup-config' followed by 'reload'. On reboot, you can then enter enable mode, and if you want to recover your config, 'copy startup-config running-config', or if you want to wipe the config, 'restore factory-defaults stack-unit 0 clear-all'.
