I found the "ip host name address" command, desite the built in help seeming to say that the command takes a single argument. I also found the "hostname" command, which at least seems like it should allow the machine to get its IP from an internal table.

But when I try to define a gateway, I'm getting:

ip 10.3.158.1 of default gateway must be directly connected

...and I cannot ping the switch, not even from the same host.

Is there something I'm missing about how to configure this switch with an IP address for managing it?
