Help on aggregating link between 6024 and 5324

I have a 5324 connected to a 6024. The two are connected through port g24 on both switches and this ports are configured for trunk mode and members of all my 3 VLANS (10, 20 and 30).

I am trying to aggregate the link between the two and plugged in port g23 of each to each other. I went to the GUI and chose Switch-Link Aggregation-LAG Membership and clicked on LAG with 1 as value on g23 and g24 but gave me an error.

How do I properly setup a LAG between the two switches?

Thanks

I am unfamiliar with the 6024 but think first in hardware then software.
At first define the hardware trunk (LAG) , then the software trunk if any (VLANs).

- just use 2 clean ports, nothing defined on them or at least equal.
- put both ports into a LAG (or physical trunk)
- define the LINK (e.g. SpanningTree etc) on the LAG (!), use e.g. 1Q/Trunk
- define the VLAN as tagged members of the LAG (!)
