I search all the documents available and there is no mention about Agent Remote ID, Agent Circuit ID, Relay Agent Information, Subscription ID.

'

If you search those keywords on Google, you will see other manufacture actually having information about it.  None for Dell.

Hi,

I don’t see a way to add those options on this switch. Page 580 of the manual is the only thing for option 82. It is only a choice of option 82 on or off.

So what is the purpose of the option if you can't actually use it?

I don't think you know what you even talking about.  Base on all the other manufacture switches.  Most of these IDs are base on the Slot#, Port#, and the requesting MAC address.

Ex for Circuit ID from other manufacture:

Zyxel switches.  1 Byte is  Slot ID, Port ID | 2 Byte VLAN ID, MAC address

Knowledge Base | Zyxel

Ruckus switches 1 Byte is Information | 2 Byte VLAN ID, Slot ID, Port ID

Sub-option 1: Circuit ID (ruckuswireless.com)

Cisco switches 1 Byte is Suboption, Lenght, Circuit ID type, Length | 2 Byte Any ASCII string (configurable)

IP Addressing: DHCP Configuration Guide, Cisco IOS Release 15S - DHCP Option 82 Configurable Circuit ID and Remote ID [Support] - Cisco

So Dell Switch should have something in the packet.  Can this be forwarded to an engineer?

Hello,

Not for the PC5500 series, but can you try the commands I found from the PC8024F document here? https://dell.to/3FE5TvJ

pg337 show dhcp l2relay remote-id vlan vlan-range

pg988 console#show ip dhcp relay

pg987 show ip dhcp relay

if these commands work you can check this CLI reference guide which has more content.

Hope this helps!
