I can't find Switch Serial Number
Hi, so I just had make this account because I just cannot find the serial number of this switch for the life of me...
On all the other switches it has a sticker with a thin barcode and it says serial number (S/N:) followed by the serial number in "CN..."
This particular one does not have that. I had a second person look at the switch, they confirmed that nothing pointing to "serial.." can be found on the housing. It does have a blue sticker with a graphic that vaguely looks like "CN" (?) in the top left corner. Also on that sticker, unrelated to the "CN", is a whole bunch of numbers, the model name of the switch "N1108EP-ON" and another set of numbers. They look absolutely nothing like the other serial numbers that all have Vs in them and are separated into blocks. It's also way longer.
Is any of that my serial number? how do I find this out? really frustrating. This is the only switch where it's unclear where the serial number is. Could it be that it's just missing/removed? Can they even be removed with no residue?
I only have that little note that you pull out with the serivice tag/express code...can I look the number up online with those?
Please do not suggest software methods to look the number up. I am documenting the hardware we have, not logging onto the actual devices.

Hi,
The service tag is what we will use for support. If you use the show version command it should show you the actual serial number. Let us know if you have any additional questions.
