IGMP Multicast Filtering with 6024 L3 switch
I am unable to configure IGMP multicast filtering on the 6024. Using Ethereal, I see the IGMP v2 queries from the 6024 and the IGMP v2 reports from the Videolan client. However, the multicast's flood all ports. I have tried virtually every combination L2/L3 multicast settings on the 6024.
With the default VLAN 1, all ports are flooded. With a secondary Vlan 2, TCP traffic passes nicely. UDP Multicast traffic is blocked. Both Vlans appear to be configured the same.
After trying every iteration conceivable from the GUI, I switched to the CLI briefly. Still no luck. However, I noticed the CLI permits config operations that are not possible from the GUI. Please advise.

You must have a specific need for the IGMP protocol prior to configuring the technology else you may generate more overhead in your environment. If you have a specific application that utilizes the IGMP protocol for multicast transmission, you may configure the PowerConnect 6024 to limit the traffic to designated port, thus saving resources and bandwidth.
Initially, you will need to configure Bridge Multicast Filtering and IGMP Snooping both globally and on the respective interface(s). These configuration options prevent the multicast traffic from being flooded out every interface.
Optionally, you may configure the PowerConnect 6024 to perform IGMP Querying where it will actually query the network and build the IGMP groups dynamically. Once all of the members have left the group (IGMP v2), the system will remove the group dynamically. IGMP Querying is configured for a specific interface, ideally the same interface with Bridge Multicast Filtering and IGMP Snooping enabled as well.
