Is there any way to disable(shutdown) a vlan interface on N series switch?
Hi All,
In my past experience, I could use shutdown / no shutdown command to make vlan interface down / up under vlan interface id mode.
Is there any similar command or workaround to achieve this purpose? I cannot find any commands with no beginning.
Thank you!

Hi All,
We are using Dell N series switch in our environment(N3024, N3048 etc,.)
In my past experience(cisco world), when I enter interface vlan id mode, I can use shutdown command to disable this vlan interface no matter what the reason is. Of course, I also can use no shutdown command to make it back operation.
My question is, is there any similar command or workaround to achieve this purpose on N series switch? I cannot find any command with no beginning when I was at vlan interface id mode

Hi,
Did you try no interface vlan?

Hi Josh,
Thank you for your reply. I tested no interface vlan command but it is not what I want.
no interface vlan command removes entire vlan setting, and then I have to re-create it. What I need is temporary shutdown(disable) the vlan interface. Can this purpose be achieved by N series switch?
Thank you!

I do not see any command that allows that.
