Lost Password for Powerconnect 2724

On the front panel of the switch, adjacent to port 24, there is a recessed button/switch marked either default or management or managed mode

 

If you toggle this switch so that the managed mode LED goes off, then reboot the switch, it should reboot and the managed LED should stay off, now toggle the mgt mode button again so that the managed LED comes back on, and the switch will be back to default settings; note that this resets all of the config, not just the IP address for management.

 

 

Yikes! I was afraid I would need to reset it completly back to factory.

 

I'll try some more pwd's in the mean time before I get the chance to reset it tonight.
