N1524P Transmitted oversized packets

Question

Hi, we have a small network with 2 stacked S4048-ON as core/distribution with 2 x N1548P and 3 x N1524P as access, all five connected directly to the S4048 stack with 2 fibres at 10Gb, one to each unit of the stack. On one of the N1524P I'm having a lot of Transmitted oversized packets on the port-channel that connects it to the S4048-ON, an on this one I have CRC errors on one of the port-channels instarface and on the port-channel itself. The MTU of the N1524P is at default value of 1518 and is a system settings. If I understand the error correctly, the switch is trying to send packets larger than the permitted by the MTU through the port-channel. And that's why the error on the N1524P and the CRC errors on the input of the S4048-ON. I don't have any other Transmitted oversized packets on any other port of the switch and on any other of the N15xxP switches, and no CRC errors on any other ports of the S4048-ON stack. My big question is, if the N1524P is trying to send a larger than MTU packet through the port-channel, where this packet came from if I don't have any Received packets dropped > MTU packets on any other interface of the switch? Any ideas on the matter will be appreciated because I don't know where else to look. Thanks.

Hi, Your best option would probably be to use something like wireshark to figure out where it is coming from. You also could try increasing the MTU size.
