N2000 firmware type

I'm curious to see why there's two firmware versions on the download page for my N2048P, with versions marked as current/latest.

Version: 6.5.4.4 ,A47 with Release Date: 28 Jun 2019 and Version: 6.6.0.2 ,A00 with Release Date: 03 Jun 2019

I assume one version is a Stable release and the other one is for Early/preview but I'm not sure which one is which. I'd prefer to stick to a Stable release. If it helps, the currently installed firmware version is 6.3.1.8.

Does anyone know which version is the stable one? or Why there's two latest firmware versions?

Thanks,

Hi,

Both are stable releases, it is just the two most recent that we have on the page.

Hi,

at least version 6.5.4.4 is stable.

I just upgraded some N2048 switches and 6.5.4.4 works fine. I have updated boot codes (U-Boot 2012.10-00079-g20827d2 (May 22 2017 - 16:58:14)) and CPLD (20) on the switches when upgrading to 6.5.4.4.

When I upgraded 6.6.0.2 on one switch everything seemed to be ok when checked after upgrade from console. When I connected my laptop to a port, dhcp worked but nothing else. No management connection after upgrade.

When I checked the mac address table from console, there was only switch, no mac from laptop, no macs from uplink port (should have been hundreds of them). Configuration is very basic L2, 5 vlans, ssh+snmp for management, management access-list, 1 trunk port.

When I rebooted the switch to version 6.5.4.4 it works fine.
