Network Manager Action Error

Hi,

I am receiving the following error when running any action against any of our Powerconnect switches,

"java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "perl": CreateProcess error=2, The system cannot find the file specified"

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I have not seen this error before, But I am sure we can research this together. I would start out with some basics first.

What OS are you running?

What version of Java is installed?

What version of Network Manager is installed?

What web browser is being used?

Then I would take that information and cross reference it with some of the information provided in the Quick setup guide.

Install the following:

· ActivePerl -> Reboot system

· Latest Java client

· Latest Adobe Flash player

· Latest Adobe Reader

Supported Web Browsers:

· Chrome (v6 and above)

· Safari (v 5 and above)

· Firefox (v 3.6 and above)

· Internet Explorer (v 9 and above)

Supported Operating System Versions:

· Windows 2003 (Standard, Enterprise and Web 64-bit only)

· Windows Server 2008 (including R2 and Enterprise Edition), 64-bit only.

· Red Hat (Enterprise version 5.5 or 6.0) Linux, 64-bit only.

NOTE:

You must disable User Account Control if you are installing on Vista or Windows Server 2008.

Linux—This application supports Red Hat® (Enterprise® version 5.5 or 6.0) Linux, 64-bit only.

Install OMNM 5 and the GUI wizard will walk you through initial setup. Please refer to User Guide and release notes

for additional setup information.
