New router not recognizing devices on Dell PowerConnect 2716 switch

My Windows 7 Workgroup is set up as follows.   Incoming Internet is directly connected to a Linksys router which in turn is connected to a Dell PowerConnect 2716 switch running in unmanaged mode.   I have four Windows 7 machines and a Buffalo NAS device connected to the switch.   I also have two Windows 7 laptops using the wireless connection.    I’m upgrading the router to a Netgear N600 WNDR3400v3.   When I swap out the router, it appears as though the Netgear device is not recognizing the switch.   The wireless Windows 7 devices can access the internet but can’t see any of the computers or NAS connected to the switch.   The devices connected to the switch can see each other but can’t access the internet.   LED indicators on both router and switch look normal.    Any advice on troubleshooting the matter would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Since the switch is in unmanaged mode there shouldn’t be anything that it is doing that is blocking traffic. Does the new router use the same IP/subnet as the old one? Are the PCs getting IP addresses through DHCP or are they set with static addresses. Can they communicate directly with each other through the switch? Are all of the connected ports getting link lights on the switch?

Hi, The new router was on a different IP/subnet than the old one. I reconfigured ip/subnet and it fixed the issue. Thanks for your help!
