What firmware version is it going from? Are you reverting back to the old firmware to get it to work again? If you run show startup-config from the cli does the startup configuration look correct? Can you post the config?
Really sorry for not replying sooner. Customer has not come back to me in a while but they got the switches working again by rolling back the firmware.

we are having this exact issue as well currently. Switches lock up from access when show running- is issued. Same firmware.
did you resolve this? If not Im going to try a firmware upgrade/downgrade
