If you have cable or DSL, your internet provider has most likely only given you one public IP address (unless you have paid for more than one). You would need a router or firewall that can mask your internal addresses from the outside using NAT/PAT to share your internet connection. The 2324 is simply a Layer 2 switch and cannot provide this function.
