PowerConnect Switches SNMP issue

Hello,

A few times a day I am observing snmp fail on cpu and fan sensors. After a few minutes, it comes back up by itself.

This happens on several powerconnect switches.

Have anyone come across this issue?

Thanks!

Hey Daniel,

Thanks for your replay.

OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.89.1.8.0 on a PowerConnect 5424 running 2.0.0.46, 2.0.0.41 - Monitored with PRTG.

Showing No such instance (SNMP error # 223) at random times, while all other sensors (and the device) - are fine.

Thank You!

The info is pulled 95% of the time, then does not for a while and comes back up.

I do not think is it a matter of prtg... Many device are sampling with not problems, just the dell switches encounter this.

Will consider firmware upgrade.. Just seems very odd!

Hey Daniel,

Unfortunately, it would take some time to arrange down-time for the firmware upgrade... :emotion-7:

Hello,

Update:

It still happens, even with 2.0.0.46 on 5424 :emotion-7:

Any suggestions?
