Powerconnect 5224 deleting vlans

Hello all, i have a bit of an odd thing happening on one of the 5224's i use.  I have several vlans on the switch passing tagged traffic from some edge switches off to a 6024 on a 4 port LAG setup.

I have vlans 1,110,120,130,140,150 and 200 on the switch which work fine. I save the config and reboot. vlans 110,120,130,140 and 150 dissapear from the database. vlans 1 and 200 are still there.

The vlans that dissapear are associated with the 5 edge switches connected to it. I have this exact setup (except with different vlan's ) on another part of the network connecting to the same 6024.

Is there any logical explanation why these vlans dissapear? or do i potentially have a problem switch.

Thanks

I do not have a switch in front of me, but I seem to recall that after you save a config file, you need to configure the switch to recognize that file as the "boot" file.

It is booting from the correct config file. I played around with it more today. I can change any other settings in the switch and save them and they are still present after a reboot. It only seems to affect these 5 vlans. And it still leaves 2 others intact.

When i add the vlans again, the swtich functions correctly. I am running the newest firmware as well on the switch.

Just though i would post an update to this problem as i now know the solution. It appears the issue was with the naming convention i used for the vlan description. for example

"power connect" is not an acceptable description. Although the switch will function when the vlan is added, it will be removed once switch is rebooted, regardless if the config is saved.

"powerconnect" works fine and is still present after a switch reboot.

Took a little dome scratching to figure it out, but i finally dawned on me when i was comparing this swtiches config to another similar unit.
