Powerconnect 6248 , fried ?

I tried to upgrade the firmware of my PC6248 to the latest release , followed the procedure and after runing the update bootcode command and restarted it....it never came back , now the master, power and fan leds are solid and cannot get anything on the console....does this means it is in a unrecoverable states or is there something I can do to bring it back to life ?

If you reboot the switch again do you get any response from the console at all?  Are there any boot code errors or messages?

If you get a response from the console I would advise updating thru Xmodem.  There is something information on the process on page 94  and 100 of the User Guide.

If you have a warranty on the switch you can call in for support at 1-800-945-3355.  

Other than trying a different power source there is not much you can do without any console access.

Nothing comes on the the console , no indications of boot process...no messages. tried with tera term also and cannot get anything.
