Problem connecting 2 5524 switches with 10G transceivers

I have two 5524 switches connected together with FTLX8571D3BCL (A3847590) multi-mode transceivers and the packets are not arriving intact.  Is this the wrong transceiver for this model or purpose.  I cannot find any information as to compatible transceivers for the models 5524.  I inherited this setup, so I'm trying to get it to work.  There is another Dell transceiver that I have seen A2002416.

Any ideas?

Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Thanks for replying.

The 2 switches are connected with Multi-mode yellow Fiber.  I will connect tonight and see what setting are in place, but everything looked right.  We turned off some of the "Green" switch settings as they were causing the connection to up and down like a toilet seat.  Now all we get are bad packets. A lot of bad packets (some 5,000 in 10 minutes).

thank you for the reply.

I ran the diagnostic and here are the results.  The errors we are receiving are

Frame Check Sequence (FCS) Errors: 37195

I will check the cable in the next couple of days for specs.

Any thoughts?

Phil

Question or two

If I was to buy a 5500 series switch and buy the transceiver at the same time, the web will sell me Dell P/N A2002416.

The transceiver I have is Dell P/N A3847590.   Did we purchase the wrong transceiver?  What is the difference between the two?

Thank you

Phil

Thanks for the reply.

Is the diagnostic OK?  I will check the cables tomorrow.

The cable has the markings:

Corning SMF-28e Optical Fiber LSZH (F.RoHS) 6/10 0590M

My understanding is that 10G Fiber should be Aqua in color. So, this leads me to believe that this is the wrong cable for 10G?  Thoughts?
