Recovering/Resetting password on a Powerconnect 2824
Dear All,
I would like to know how to reset or recover an admin password of a power-connect 2824 without having to reset it??

Hi, if you have a 2nd administrator account you could delete the user that is locked out and recreate it. Page 68 ftp://ftp.dell.com/Manuals/all-products/esuprt_ser_stor_net/esuprt_powerconnect/powerconnect-2848_user%27s%20guide_en-us.pdf
However if you only have one user there is not a way to reset just the user login. This is a security measure to prevent unauthorized access by resetting the account.

The problem is that I do not know whether there are any 2nd admin accounts or any other... Because, the previous IT didn't leave any information about the switch but a diagram of the VLANS...

If you are unable to get it from them resetting the whole switch is the only option.
