Before that, it's probably would be great that you can update the switch version to the latest, as the available MIB download should be for the latest versions. I'm including the MIB for you to download to N-central https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-us/000181922/dell-networking-mibs
Thanks for the response, currently running version 9.11(0.0P8) but this is to be upgraded soon as it's outdated. We've recently started supporting these switches and getting them setup how they should be, we're using N-central I can get the devices added with V2 but when trying with V3 it doesn't work and get the error displayed in my previous post.
If you have any ideas as to what I can try that would be amazing!
I actually found that forum, I tried that configuration however nothing that I entered into the was not accepted so couldn't get it to work. Would you know what Dell syntax I could enter here for it to work?
That's great thank you, we have it working on v2c at the moment so I think we will leave it running this version until I upgrade them.
Hi, As far as I know, all MIBs and OIDS come compressed with FW download. I did research but I couldn't find detailed a Dell syntax sample for . But glad to hear at least it works on v2c. and I agree with what you said about leaving it in this version that works

Hi Daniel,
Which OS version are you running? What management software? Is the user using the MIBs and admin user? SNMPv3 uses a different security model.

Hi,
I tried checking the error message, it seems it's pointing to SNMPv3 configuration. Here's the resolution for Cisco switches: https://dell.to/3iiWoHw
S4048 syntax is almost the same as Cisco's, here the user guide for reference: page 847 https://downloads.dell.com/manuals/all-products/esuprt_networking_int/esuprt_networking_operating_systems/dell-emc-os-9_connectivity-guide3_en-us.pdf
