S4048-ON disk corrupt after upgrade
I upgraded our S4048-ON switches, from 9.14.2.7 to 2.8, reloaded, and the switch never came back.
Had to go out to the data centre. There was no response on the serial console, so I power cycled it, and after the initial self checks, and the f2 prompt, the switch went to a blank screen.
I now have it booted with an onie rescue iso, using a usb stick. Trying to reimage the switch with onie-nos-install fails ,saying the disks partition table is corrupt.
fdisk, run from the onie-recorvery image, shows 'Disk /dev/sda doesn't contain a valid partition table'
So I have a running onie rescue image. How should I proceed?
i.e. did:
upgrade system tftp://172.31.80.251/FTOS-SK-9.14.2.8.bin B:
show boot sys stack 1
stack-unit 1 FLASH BOOT 9.14(2.7)[boot] 9.14(2.8)
config term
boot system stack-unit 1 primary system: B:
exit
write mem
reload

Should have added that the switch is in a VLti pair, and we are running off of the other one.

This won't be particularly helpful, but I do wish you the best of luck. I have a VLT pair of these running 9.14.2.6 currently. There was another thread here where a member mentioned having issues writing the configuration to disk, and it was believed to be the "clock signal bug" that is prevalent on these switches, causing some of them to brick themselves. Have you opened a case with support to determine the root cause?

They are sending out a replacement switch. They aren't sure if the internal 8G drive has failed, or something else went wrong.
The internal drive shows up, in fdisk, as being only 4M big (first line), but also 8G (last line)

Hello,
For this error, I'd have to second bealdrid2's suggestion to contact support. If you'd like to send me the service tag in a PM, I'd be happy to check the warranty for you.
