S4112F connection to 1 GB Cisco

If we have TOR S4112F with port 10 GBE SFP connected to 1GB SFP in the cisco switch ?

Will it work and talk to each other or not ?

or should I replace the 10GBE in the S4112 to one of the following 1GB SFP.

  • Dell Networking, Transceiver, SFP, 1000BASE-SX, 850nm Wavelength, 550m Reach [Option Id: SFPGBE] [SKU: 407-BBDB]
  • Dell Networking, Transceiver, SFP, 1000BASE-LX, 1310nm Wavelength, 10km Reach [Option Id: SFPLX] [SKU: 407-BBDC]

If this is going to be a 1Gb connection, I would make sure you are using a 1Gb SX optic on both sides.  I would expect the 1Gb optic to work fine on the S4112.
